My name is Krystal Kinsey, and I am a proud Hutto citizen. I have lived in the Riverwalk neighborhood for almost 3 years, and in just that amount of time I have seen so many changes come to Hutto!
Most of my professional career has been spent as an early childhood educator. I am currently an Assistant Director at an Academy in Cedar Park. I went to an all women's college in Spartanburg, SC where I earned my Bachelors of Science in Biology, and Bachelors of Arts in History. I later went back to college to earn my Associates of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education.
After my undergraduate, I met my husband Timothy and moved out to California. He is a USMC veteran and actually from Round Rock! The California lifestyle was one that I didn't like and couldn't imagine raising my children in. We moved to Hutto to be closer to his family, that are speckled throughout this area. Both of my parents are United States Navy Veterans, so to say that I am done with moving is an understatement! I am so happy to be putting down roots for our 2 daughters, Amelia and Eliza.
My contributions to the community:
I served as the chair of Riverwalk's Social Event Committee, we worked with Officer Glass of Hutto PD to put on one of the best First Night Out events Riverwalk had ever seen! I am a member of the Howard Norman Elementary PTA. I am a member on the Ethics Review Commission as well. My journey into Hutto City Hall started with a group of residents from the Lakeside Estates community at the local Starbucks almost 2 years ago. I learned so much about the inner workings and processes. Most of these dealings left me feeling that there needed to be a change. Be the change you want to see.
